Just as Jesus’ mission was to reveal God’s heart to the world, He gave you and I this same privilege.

When I let go of my expectations of others, I can love each person as God loves me, with no strings attached. And, when I let go of trying to meet the expectations of others, I experience the “rest” Jesus offers.

Jesus invites me to let go of the ever-exhausting compulsion to perform, and rest.

When offended by others, I am faced with a critical decision: Will I choose the way of Christ in me? Or will I choose the way of my old identity?
